Meet Andres – Marketing
What is your role at Decisely?
My job is “Marketing Production Specialist.” That’s a sophisticated way of saying that I do a lot of things that are marketing specific, marketing adjacent, and completely unrelated to marketing in any real way. If you described me as a Swiss Army Knife, it’d be an apt description, but you’d lose points for a severe lack of creativity on that metaphor.
What do you love about your job at Decisely?
Decisely has made a real investment in my growth and personal development. I really appreciate that I have a mentor to help guide me, have received certifications and training, and have had a chance to learn more about strategy due to the fact that top leadership is so accessible here.
What was your first job?
Technically - Fast food cook. Realistically - Older brother.
What was your worst job?
I worked at a shoe store in the mall once. It was kind of ok, but the biggest downside of the job was abso-freakin’-lutely the fact that the store was two stories and they kept a lot of the shoes downstairs in the shoe dungeon. So if someone needed a shoe, I had to use the stairs to get to the shoe dungeon and back out again. I am a sweaty man at the coldest of times, so I would wear sanitary napkins in my armpits to hide my body’s shameful cardio sweat creations. In case you’re wondering, it doesn’t feel great.
Where would you live if you could live anywhere in the world?
Last question – people would be surprised if they knew what about you?
That I can definitively prove the fact that “Total Eclipse of the Heart” is the best song ever written.
